Univision Announces Casting Call For First Ever "Nuestra Belleza Latina" Competition

Winner to Become a Univision Network On-Air Personality and Win $200K in Cash and Prizes

New York, NY -- Univision announced today that casting for “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), the network’s newest program and first-of-its-kind competition, will kick off on January 28 in New York City.

“Nuestra Belleza Latina” is searching throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico for the most charismatic, intelligent and captivating Hispanic women who will face-off in a fierce competition that combines the excitement of reality television with the glamour and splendor of a beauty contest. But in this competition, looks alone are not enough to win. Once casting is complete, sixty women will vie for the title of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” and the opportunity of a lifetime: a contract as Univision’s newest on-air personality and the chance to win more than $200,000 in cash and prizes.

This extraordinary competition will begin with a suspenseful elimination, after which the finalists will move on and live together in a beautiful Miami mansion as they face a series of weekly challenges that will test their talent and character. These finalists will endeavor to perfect their runway walk, work with stylists and make-up artists, sharpen their dance, singing and acting skills, and undergo a rigorous fitness regimen. Throughout the competition, viewers will get an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the trials, tribulations, and often emotionally charged interactions between the contestants. Viewer participation will be a key factor in helping a panel of celebrity judges by casting their votes for their favorites. In the 2 hour grand finale, the contestant with the most votes will be crowned the very first "Nuestra Belleza Latina."
